Early Spring

In my real life the weather swings wildly between 60 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit.  In Second Life, with a snap of my fingers - well, AprilMae Devin's fingers, since she has the terrain textures - Spring has come to our sim.  It's still sweater weather so thank goodness for coldLogic's new cardigan/dress combo outfits!  The cardigans can also be worn separately, though I haven't tried to mix and match yet.  I had enough trouble deciding which style and color to show you! 

I decided I needed a second photo to show you the jewelry, since it is from a store that is new to me - Remarkable Oblivion.  Gogo of Juicy Bomb blogged the cutest crown that she picked up there, tempting me to take a look and pick up a couple of goodies.

On the Red Carpet

Ayla and I had fun planning this photo shoot together to celebrate glamorous Academy Awards dresses for the 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest recently announced here by Harper Ganesvoort.  We looked around for a location, but I ended up building a set from odds and ends in my inventory.  AprilMae Devin, our dear friends and sim mate, made the poses for us!  Shopping for and styling the outfits - well - that was sheer pleasure.

Ayla's been ill lately, but she's recovering, much to my relief - not to mention her own.  We're all glad you're feeling better Ayla.  You've been sorely missed!

My Favourite Distraction

These phone poses are new from Estetica and are lots of fun. There are 10 poses in all and the phone prop and a face animator are included too. I don't have much else to say this today. It's the 1st of December and I am dying to visit all the advent stores and the gacha event, oh and Fameshed. It's going to be a busy afternoon!

You haven't heard?

Well then, we have some shopping to do, girlfriend. When Maitreya and Mon Tissu release on the same weekend, shopping is a must.

I went for a neutral look in this pic - the new release sweater and (ok, not new but fabulous) handbag from Maitreya paired with the oh-so-darling new release cotton pants from Mon Tissu. The shoes from Gos (oldies but goodies) worked perfectly with the casual rolled cuff of the pants. My hair is new too, from Truth - I'll never have enough updos. Note also the SLink hands. I can be so expressive with them! The pose that brings everything to life is one of Adorkable's handbag poses.

My friend April sent me a landmark to a sim she thought would be nice for photos. I took a look.  It was pretty, but I ended up back at our sim at her doorstep for this picture. Since I usually have to drag her around to shop, it was inspiration for the pic. There's no place like home for pics, really. 

No list of credits today, I forgot and changed out of this outfit and I'm too lazy to put everything back on. :-P All is not lost, however! Everything should be covered in the text. 

52 Weeks of Color Challenge - Snow by Dolly

coldLogic just this week released this jacket and skirt (yes, under the jacket) with leggings in the color snow! It certainly made my choice for this week's color photo easier.  The first snow is always so romantic, isn't it?

Oh dear, I had it in my mind that this week's color was Snow but it's actually GHOST white.  I still like the pic.

Don't Blink

This picture kind of gives me the creeps and it wasn't intentional. That statue back there reminds me of the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who and I have my back turned! I'm gonna turn around and have this big nasty thing bearing it's teeth at me in a minute. Even in real life, statues give me the heebiejeebies. I'm out of here!

Not really, well at least not until I talk about what I'm wearing. G Field has always been a favourite of mine and this is a new release, the Classic Dress "Vivian" in bordeaux. I matched it up with my new boots from Gos which I fatpacked last week, the colours are awesome but I went with black to tie in with the dresses trim, but the burgundy looked good as well.

Okay, I'm really off now before something bad happens to my new clothes!

City Nights

My inspiration for this picture was the brolly from What Next.  It comes with 10 different poses and it's colour change to suit your outfit.  Off I went to coldLogic to buy a rain jacket (parke.white), seen on a previous visit and I slipped into my Curvaceous boots from [Gos] to complete the outfit.  The picture was taken on the Mayfair sim, the perfect backdrop for the image I wanted to create.

52 Weeks of Colour Challenge - Shuttle Grey by Ayla

This has pretty much been the weather in Scotland for the past few days and this weeks colour sorta matches the mood.  The dress is a coldLogic group gift from when they opened and I added a bit of colour by wearing these tights from fri.day (Seasons Gatcha) and my lilac wellies from [Gos].  The brolly I love and it's from Lisp, still available from Collabor88.

The picture reminds me of the nursery rhyme,

Dr Foster went to Glouceter,

The guys at 22769 Casual Couture put out this awesome mesh guitar case in a zebra stripe as their Narcissus Room offering - a special sale from top designers for those poor neglected men out there.  Let me tell you something, boys - we girlie girls like zebra stripes too, and we may just zip over to Narcissus to pick it up! 

I tossed on jeans that are part of the ladies' group gift this month at 22769, Gos boots and my new grungy pink shirt from Chronokit.  Topped off with a favorite Truth hair old enough to be called vintage, I've got the look of casual Friday, just in time.

52 Weeks of Colour - Bright Turquoise by Ayla

Turquoise comes a close second to pink as one of my favourite colours so I was well chuffed when coldLogic brought out some bright, dazzling spring clothes.  This colour combination went well together so I paired them up for this weeks colour challenge.  The picture is taken at Alirium, one of the bestest sims on Second Life!

I nipped over to Collabor88 again this morning, as I do a few days after it opens to see if late arrivals were added, and yes, there were.  These pants and little tucked in tank from Fashionably Dead are adorable and they come in a few variations of colours.  My little Gos Mary Jane pumps went really well with the tank.  I'm wearing one of the new styles from LeLutka and last but not least a little necklace from A:S:S.

The pose is from my dear friend Xanthe Audeburgh.  She owns [CS Shapes] and is always sending me little pose bundle gifts.  I love them, they are always so natural and photo friendly.

After leaving me tied up in the cell all night and all day, Mr Q finally came to release me.  I actually think he felt a bit sorry for me, though I would have much preferred my food and water to come in something other than dog bowls.  Nevertheless, I licked them dry with my parched tongue. "So can we go home now?" I asked, wiping my chin against my shoulder to clean the slobbers. "I have shopping to get in and the nanny will be needing a break from our devil children..."  The truth was, I was desperate to shower and jump into our cozy bed for a proper sleep.  There was no reply other than him gently sweeping his fingers through my hair and giving my cheek a tender caress.  I looked up, my eyes locked with his and I recognised that familiar twinkle.  "I guess not then..." I whispered lowly, while my gaze dropped to his groin magnetically.

Truth District

I had fun yesterday morning at the Truth District. I got the new Truth hair, this mesh dress from Aura, and new shoes and glasses from Gos (both with color change scripts and LOTS of options).  The coin earrings and necklace are from League.  There are so many great stores there!

In fact, the only items I'm wearing that I didn't pick up from the Truth District are the handbag from Leverocci, the Mayfly eyes, and my Glam Affair skin.
