 March is filled with great shopping events. Collabor88 is already open. Skin Fair 2014 just opened today, and for this week only there's an event called Fashion Pride Second Life to benefit the AIDS Committee of Toronto. My unbusinesslike but sexy pinstriped jumpsuit from 22769 Couture is a 100% donation item. The last day for this event is March 17th, so hurry over and shop to support a good cause.

SLex Life Meme

It's meme time again, and we've got some deep thrusting - ah - questions this week from Strawberry Singh of a sexual nature. I think I'll stick to answers about Second Life here, though some answers will apply to both lives. I'm more adventurous in Second Life than in real life. One of the things that first intrigued me about Second Life was the ability to explore fantasies in a safe virtual environment.

Sexual Questions:

1. What is your sexual orientation or do you not like to label yourself? – I'm straight, only vaguely bi-curious.
2. Name a physical attribute that you find attractive or sexy. – In SL we can all be beautiful, so the first thing I find attractive is someone with charm, wit and who expresses themselves well. After that, an avatar that looks human is a must, and one that has at least a little sense of style.
3. Are you promiscuous, a prude or in between? – Dolly went through a slutty experimental stage but she has toned it down a lot in the past few years. Definitely not a prude though.
4. What turns you on? – Words, slow kisses, blindfolds.
5. Are you dominant or submissive? – In the bedroom I prefer a submissive role, but that pretty much stays in the bedroom. Out of the bedroom I'm downright bossy.
6. Are you into sexual roleplay? – Oh yes!
7. Which sexual position is your favorite? – I don't know what it's called. I love it when my partner is standing and I'm perched on the edge of a counter that's just the right height with my legs wrapped around him.... Oh my!
8. Do you have any fetishes? – Blindfolds and four poster beds and silk rope.
9. Have you or would you do porn, amateur or professional? – There are a few raunchy pictures of me possibly floating around in SL. I must say though, that visual porn doesn't really do it for me the way a hot roleplay story does.
10. Do you consider yourself sexy? – I'm sexual but I prefer to be subtle about it. I think whether that comes across as sexy is for others to decide. Deliberately trying to be sexy just fails for me.

Smile, Skin Fair 2014 Is Coming

My new SLink Visage mesh head has given me an unexpected gift - a really nice smile. Another nice surprise is that the shadows that plague the faces of our normal av faces look much more natural. I attempted a high contrast windlight setting for these photos and was pleased with the result. Having lived with the mesh head since Saturday, I must say I like it a lot. I have a few requests, the most important being hair bases, but I am assured they're coming next week. The rest are more expressions since they're so fun to play with. Let's stick out our tongues!

I was lucky enough to get a preview of AE's (Adam N Eve) new releases for Skin Fair 2014. Ellie (above) can be worn with or without the SLink mesh heads, but I'm smiling pretty in my mesh head. The applier version has a HUD that allows for six lipsticks, six eye makeups, three eyebrow colors, blush choices, freckles or moles, and even a slightly sunburned nose.

Sachi Vixen, AE's creator, will also offer Amy (below), a lower priced skin and Visage applier HUD for Skin Fair with fewer makeup choices for avatars on a tighter budget.

Skin Fair 2014 begins on March 14th and runs through the 30th. There will be script limits, so strip down for lower lag shopping for all.

The Next Step in Mesh Heads - SLink

Siddean Munro, the smart and talented designer and owner of SLink, knows what I want before I know I want it. Mesh feet and hands? Skin appliers for mesh feet and hands? Check and check. Her latest concept is a mesh head that other skin makers can make appliers for! It's called Visage. I took some quick unedited snapshots of the SLink Becky head using the Adam N Eve skin Carolyn with the face and makeup appliers. I didn't have to adjust my shape at all, although later I plan to play with it to see what kind of adjustments I can make to my face.

I really like that we can use our own mesh eyes. My Ikon mesh eyes required no adjustment. I noticed that the demo expressions HUD for head kept closing my eyes as I changed expressions, but the HUD that comes with the purchased head works perfectly. Siddean, always on top of things, had found and fixed that bug on the demo by the time I posted this blog!

The SLink heads Emma and Becky are available at the newly redesigned SLink Mainstore. They come with matching skin, alphas and two HUDs, one for applying skin tone and makeup, the other for expressions. The AE skin and applier is available at the new SLink West sim, right next door. While you're there, pick up some new shoes for SLink feet and a mani-pedi applier or two!

The most fun was playing with the expressions. Hehehe.

Or Am I a Bad Girl?

In my last post I was an angel, wings and all. I said I'd been to GizzA for the first time and would be blogging another GizzA outfit this week. This time I went a little edgy - prickly even. When Clay saw me he was in shock at my anti-cuddles spiked outfit.

I received a special quarterly update gift from a skin store called Morphine, formerly Mirror's Enigma. It's a lovely skin called Lauren. Morphine sounds like it's for bad girls, so I wore it for my bad girl leathers and spikes picture! It comes with several appliers - Lush, Lola and PhatAzz, but the SLink appliers are sold separately at the store.

New to Me - An Angel

It's time for Strawberry Singh's latest blog challenge. This week we're challenged to find something new to blog, something out of our comfort zone. A new creator, perhaps, or a new style. I approached the challenge thinking of high fashion photography - the really wild stuff you'd never wear out to dinner, if you know what I mean. I tend to blog clothing in Second Life that I would be happy to wear in my real life. I love fashion, but I've never been an edgy fashion sort of girl.

But, since that was my goal, I headed off to GizzA. I'd never been there, and all I have in my inventory from GizzA is a handbag. Shame on me! There are amazing things at GizzA, and I bought another to blog later in the week. But for today, I'm an angel - a pink, feathery winged angel. *sigh of happiness* I might have missed the mark on high fashion. I feel a little more Victoria's Secret than Coco Chanel, but I don't care. I'm pink and white with a corset and feathery wings!
