Handbag Love

My love of handbags is not quite as out of control as my hair and shoe obsession, but it is getting there.  This studded handbag from Pure Poison comes in several colors.  I suggest a fatpack because the studded detailing is such fun, you'll want it for many outfits.  At least I do.   This dress is a new release from Liv-Glam, and the back was so adorable I just had to show you my rear.  It comes in a hud with a color change option so you can fatpack it for the price of one dress.

In case you're wondering about this great location, it's my home sim that I share with Ayla, April, Clay and our quiet neighbor Isack and his cuties.  April did a great job turning her area into a Louisiana swamp (we're currently obsessed with True Blood - she's in Eric's camp, I love Sam).

Today is my co-blogger Ayla's birthday and I can't wait for us to go get her present!  We'll take a pic and post it on the blog when we get around to it.  Happy Birthday Ayla, sweets!

Pop Princess Audition

My Attic at the Deck has a pop star theme this go around and I got a kick out of Adorkable's poses with the microphone prop.  Winx has a a couple of great photo sets.  The treble clef and eighth notes in the background are from that set. 

Drawing from my own wardrobe to dress for my audition, I was happy to see mesh pieces from different creators worked together the way this Baiastice top and Maitreya skirt do.  Going blonde was just because when I think pop star I think Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga and a horde of blonde pop stars.  Totally cliche!

Classy and Fabulous

Coco Chanel once said that a girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.  I feel a little of both in the outfit I put together today.  The ladylike dress is from a new-to-me store called Liv-Glam.  With the stripes and the darling red bow it didn't need all that much dressing up.  My Gos Boutique peeptoe pumps, a Leverocci handbag and hat hair from Maitreya finished off my classy/fab look. 

Liv-Glam is a mostly mesh women's clothing store and it's quite large.  I didn't find the demos my first time through, but they're there and appear to be standard sizes.  I was also a little confused when I bought this dress, because I received a wearable hud instead of a package.  The idea is to choose your size from the hud and it's delivered to you - no more deleting unnecessary sizes!  Once I figured that out I was fine.  I'll be keeping an eye out for newness from this store!

Early Spring

In my real life the weather swings wildly between 60 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit.  In Second Life, with a snap of my fingers - well, AprilMae Devin's fingers, since she has the terrain textures - Spring has come to our sim.  It's still sweater weather so thank goodness for coldLogic's new cardigan/dress combo outfits!  The cardigans can also be worn separately, though I haven't tried to mix and match yet.  I had enough trouble deciding which style and color to show you! 

I decided I needed a second photo to show you the jewelry, since it is from a store that is new to me - Remarkable Oblivion.  Gogo of Juicy Bomb blogged the cutest crown that she picked up there, tempting me to take a look and pick up a couple of goodies.

coldLogic Is One Year Old

I'm amazed that it's been a year and amazed that it's only been a year since the opening of coldLogic, an all mesh women's clothing store that has all the mainstays of my wardrobe.  It's my kind of place, a store I'd shop in real life as well.  To celebrate their anniversary there's a free dress for members and a photo contest, too.  I won last year's photo contest - my first time in Second Life to win such a thing, so please pardon the bragging.  For this year's contest, you can read about it HERE.

OMG I Ate the Whole Thing!

You can tell I had a lot of fun with this new release specialty skin from PXL Creations.  Called Gluttony, it's a rare skin in a new gacha set called Seven Sins Skin, available at the store.

Just to prove to you that it really is a pretty skin (giggle), I took a picture without the tongue and cherry that come with the skin.  The crossed eyes - well that was my own doing.

A Silent Star

I've been trying to figure out how best to show off LeLutka's new vintage hair, Lillian.  I liked the way the belt on this Baiastice dress complimented the headpiece for the hair, and once I connected the hair and dress, my silent movie star was born.  My inspiration (and LeLutka's, I'm pretty sure) was Lillian Gish, who began as a silent film star in 1912 and had a career that spanned 75 years.
