Fall Colors

My favorite colors tend to be the earth tones of Autumn, so I was thrilled by the new four season set of trees from Studio Skye. Directly after that purchase, Autumn came to my sim! I'm also loving the earth color selection of 22769 Casual Couture's new release for The Liaison Collaborative Boutique. The pants are versatile and can certainly be dressed down with a sweater or casual shirt. The halter top keeps it dressy and living up to the 5th Avenue theme of this round of the Boutique.

I Can Walk In These Shoes

This post wouldn't have happened if Clay Cowen hadn't pointed out a series of Jimmy Choo shoe ads that made him think of me - a redhead with a shoe obsession. I passed the link on to Aprilmae Devin who made some very nice sitting poses (not yet released) for her store, Alterior Motions - some inspired by the ads. All I needed was a new pair of shoes and the Gos Boutique Lauren d'Orsay shoes at The Liaison Collaborative Boutique were the clear winners.

Botanicals is at Collabor88 this month with a romantic ruin that makes a terrific backdrop for photos. I of course had to snatch it right up.

I can't help but stare

I met Geanna the other day and she had the cutest from Tee*fy dress on. Of course I had to go get it. God knows how I missed it at this months FaMeshed! I already had my Gos espadrilles and what a perfect match, eh? The hair is a cute style from Tram, although the shade isn't quite the brown I usually go for, it was either black or this. Miss Tram creator, please, please make a better choice of shades because the styles are awesome!

Spring is for Girly Dresses

I've been away from SL for all of two days.  This morning I browsed through the blogs, and guess what?  Mon Tissu had a new release of a girly spring dress in my absence.  Even better, I was able to match my espadrilles from Gos to the dress!  What more could I ask for?  Besides emptying all the avatars out of Pose Fair just for me so I can shop, that is.

It's Spring at coldLogic

Everybody knows I love coldLogic.  I get so excited with every new release.  Well, there's a big spring release with great jackets, sweaters, capris, jumpsuits, skirts, dresses and combinations like the comfortable, slouchy sweater and dress outfit I'm wearing in this picture.  The colors are spring bright and happy like this purple.  Me, in PURPLE!  I feel so daring.

In Bloom

Today is a good day.  In my real life I noticed a few pink blossoms on my cherry tree which means we will have Spring!  Of course last year it bloomed in February due to an unseasonably warm winter, but this year I'm so ready for Spring to begin.

In my Second Life it's a good day because I managed to put together an outfit, pose and setting to my satisfaction - trust me, it doesn't happen that often.  The silk blouse is from 22769 Casual Couture and the espadrilles from Gos Boutique - both currently for sale at Liaison Collaborative's Boutique.  The summery floral shorts are a new release from One Bad Pixel.  I featured the Gypsy caravan from Zigana in an earlier post.  It's still available at The Arcade Gacha Event.

Balancing Act

I can't get over how many great creations are being released this month, one after another.  The gorgeous fountain from Deco is available right now at Collabor88.  The Rebel Hope dress, Earthstones earrings, and Gos Boutique espadrilles were released today in a brand new designer showcase event from Liaison Collaborative's Boutique.

Pop Princess Audition

My Attic at the Deck has a pop star theme this go around and I got a kick out of Adorkable's poses with the microphone prop.  Winx has a a couple of great photo sets.  The treble clef and eighth notes in the background are from that set. 

Drawing from my own wardrobe to dress for my audition, I was happy to see mesh pieces from different creators worked together the way this Baiastice top and Maitreya skirt do.  Going blonde was just because when I think pop star I think Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga and a horde of blonde pop stars.  Totally cliche!

Classy and Fabulous

Coco Chanel once said that a girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.  I feel a little of both in the outfit I put together today.  The ladylike dress is from a new-to-me store called Liv-Glam.  With the stripes and the darling red bow it didn't need all that much dressing up.  My Gos Boutique peeptoe pumps, a Leverocci handbag and hat hair from Maitreya finished off my classy/fab look. 

Liv-Glam is a mostly mesh women's clothing store and it's quite large.  I didn't find the demos my first time through, but they're there and appear to be standard sizes.  I was also a little confused when I bought this dress, because I received a wearable hud instead of a package.  The idea is to choose your size from the hud and it's delivered to you - no more deleting unnecessary sizes!  Once I figured that out I was fine.  I'll be keeping an eye out for newness from this store!

Surprise Me with a Valentine

My eyes are closed as I wait to see what's in store for Valentine's Day.  I'm in the spirit, wearing lots of passionate red.  My necklace and earrings from Earthstones are heart shaped, so I've managed to put a heart in every picture for the week leading up to today!  Happy Valentine's Day to everyone who reads my posts.  If you have a special someone, you're all set.  If not, dress up, drink up, and do something fun.

Global Domination

The Second Life news I get comes from blogs, feeds, and my Plurk timeline (if you don't know Plurk it's a social networking site that's sort of twitterish, but not).  Lately I've been seeing these scary posts about GLOBAL DOMINATION.  If you know me at all you probably know I don't want to dominate the globe.  I don't even want to dominate Second Life - though the occasional domination of my globes is acceptable (wink).

So, I thought, "no, that's not for me, this Global Domination."  But it continued to assault me with information from all sides.  I learned you needed a passport HUD and could buy it for $300L at various stores - ah, stores.  Wouldn't mind dominating a few of them.  I learned the price of the HUD (and tempting gifts with purchase) would go up on the 14th, so everyone should run out to get their passport HUD early.  But - Global Domination is a scary prospect!

Then I popped into Baiastice to see the new releases, and what do you know.  Right there at the landing spot was a kiosk to buy a Global Domination passport HUD (which you apparently must have to dominate the globe).  If I bought the passport at Baiastice I would get a gift with the passport purchase consisting of the hat and handbag from the picture above.  NOW I got it.  I must HAVE that!  So I read the notecard from the kiosk, explaining a little bit about the game - yeah.  It's a game, a puzzle riddle sort of game that takes you to 17 participating stores, solving puzzles and winning prizes.  It starts February 14th and lasts a couple of weeks.  The Hottie Cooterati Experience is the sponsor and there's real information about it on their website here.

Maybe Global Domination will be fun after all.  I have my passport just in case.

February Collabor88 Goodies

I don't know where to start so I'm jumping in.  Fashionably Dead has released another winning top at this month's Collabor88.  It comes in solids, stripes or polkadots.  The green works great with my coldLogic leggings and Gos shoes! 

You can tell by the serene expression on my face that I'll be falling onto a nice fluffy cloud thanks to Flowey's darling photo prop, also a Collabor88 offering.  It comes in four versions and six different poses.

Truth is at Collabor88 this month with a gorgeous hair called Hollanda.  My one-sided love affair with Mr. Hawks continues.  SMOOCH!

Glam Affair has introduced a lovely new skin.  I went for the no eye makeup/red lips version, which seems vintage to me.  Think 50's.

Every Woman Needs Something Red

The reason I've gone blonde for this picture isn't all that clear to me, except that I thought this Bilo dress had a vintage Marilyn Monroe sort of feel and the hair color is called Marilyn.  Good enough reason!  The heart shaped handbag from Pure Poison gave me an excuse to wear the red version of my Gos Boutique peep toe pumps (my favorites after Grace).  I wonder if I can keep up the hearts theme until Valentine's Day?

The lonely, barren location used in this and my last post is Bryn Oh's Immersiva.  Viewing a 3D art installation by walking around it in a virtual body is just one of the reasons I love Second Life.

I know I'm not, but when I put on leather with studs and carry a tiger skin purse, I feel a tiny bit like a rebel.  Or maybe I'm just a slave to fashion.  FaMeshed is marvelous all the way around this month, including Rebel Hope's offering of a skin tight leather dress and furry hide handbag.
