2014 First FaMeshed of the Year

A new round of FaMeshed began with the beginning of the new year and I went shopping! There are more new mesh eyes from Ikon, a cute new Wasabi Pills Emily hair, great jewelry from Maxi Gossamer and  a very interesting and original peplum leather top/cardigan duo (in one piece) from Coquet. A HUD allows texture changes to the sweater. I added striped leggings from coldLogic for a bit of fun.

If It Had Been a Snake...

Obviously this post is about inventory because Strawberry Singh has made it her weekly meme. Trying to find things in my inventory reminded me of a phrase my grandmother used to say - "If it had been a snake it would have bit me!"

I can feel superior to Berry because my inventory is less than half of her size, but then again, I've blogged less than half as long. To be frank, my inventory gets scarier to deal with all the time. I love to talk strategies for inventory organization and management and I hate hate HATE to do it. So what does the snake have to do with inventory other than remind me of my grandma? They both frighten me. Snakes and my inventory, not my grandma.

2. If you had to delete your whole inventory and could only keep one thing, what would it be? –Just feed me rat poison because if I have to choose one thing it will kill me anyway! (Who knew inventory was so traumatic, right?)

4. Which item do you wear most often? – I never take off my Mayfly Mesh Eyes or my SLink hands.
5. When you search for the word penis, how many items pop up? (NO LYING!) – I'm way too embarrassed to say. OK, if you insist - NONE! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, BERRY? That's why I took a naked picture with my new Diesel Works snake pose prop to bolster my naughty girl status! I breathed a sigh of relief, however, when I typed in an alternate word for the same thing. I got a couple hits. (wink)

The Arcade Gacha Event Has a Few Goodies

What an UNDERSTATEMENT! But here I am putting together a look with some of my gacha items. Fashionably Dead has the greatest boots and headphones as gacha items. I think I need more colors, don't you? The socks don't come with the boots, but they're free in her store, so hurry over to get them! Sway's at the Arcade Gacha

And so The Arcade Gacha is almost ready for another round. I hope you've been saving your lindens. Sway has designed lots of these swim rings in a multitude of colours and they are just adorable and fun. I'm going to be missing out on the initial rush with me going away on holiday on Sunday, but gacha event is definitely going to be my first stop when I return!

OMG I Ate the Whole Thing!

You can tell I had a lot of fun with this new release specialty skin from PXL Creations.  Called Gluttony, it's a rare skin in a new gacha set called Seven Sins Skin, available at the store.

Just to prove to you that it really is a pretty skin (giggle), I took a picture without the tongue and cherry that come with the skin.  The crossed eyes - well that was my own doing.

Is it just me, or have several skin designers in Second Life moved to the next level of artistry and beauty over the past year?  I'm amazed when I demo skins lately at how gorgeous they are!  I thought I was a hair and shoe whore, but I'm adding skin whore to my CV.  This lovely skin is Shelby, a new release from Adam N Eve - a store that has been around as long as I've been in Second Life.  I bought either my first or second skin there (and no, I don't have a picture - I wish I did).   Shelby comes with dark eyebrows but includes blonde and red tattoo layers.  The makeups are lovely and I was tempted, but I tend to favor the barest skins. It's Second Life! Who needs makeup with flawless skin like this?

I popped into Zaara just because I haven't been there in awhile.  I love her new mesh designs, like this dress you can barely see.  The little extra bow detail for the shoulder straps, complete with beads is brilliant.  Also, I didn't forget my heart for my personal Valentine's Day challenge!  Maxi Gossamer's new release for Collabor88 did the trick.

Oh coldLogic, how I love you! coldLogic just released sexy, off the shoulder sweaters, sweater dresses, and loads of patterned and solid leggings that fit neatly beneath everything. I'm almost as hot as the car!

Just a Girl in a Coffee Shop

In Second Life I can have horns, wings, branches growing out of my heard, and so many other oddball things, and yet, 99.9% of the time I choose to stay close to real life (with a better ass).  Dolly is an extension of the real life me, not an alternative.  Oh, I have a penguin avatar and I can get all happy feet in it and bring tears to my eyes laughing.  But dress Dolly in jeans and a sweater, plop her down in a coffee house, and I'm just as happy as long as I have a cup in real life.

This is all my way of rationalizing yet another pair of blue jeans, this pair by Fashionably Dead and new at Collabor88.  DOLLY NEEDED them to sit in coffee shops!  And by the way - I started with the Wasabi Pills hair this time in my styling - one of several newly added hairs to my inventory for my birthday thanks to Ayla and April.

The main highlight of this picture was intended to show off the new Wasabi Pills Amelie style, new for FaMeshed which reopens on the 1st of November. I love everything about it. The hairband is just adorable and of course as with all Wasabi Pills accessories, colour change.  The rest is a mishmash of clothes from my inventory.
