A Lesson in Truth

Together for Sway

Sway Dench is one of the grids most respected designers and just recently she found out that she needs an operation for a brain tumor. Friends and fellow designers have banded together to raise funds so that when she is in recovery and unable to work on Second Life, her sim will be safely funded.  Please take some time to visit and donate to this worthwhile cause where you will find many of your favourite designers who have kindly donated their items for Sway. Making a Miel of it

It's Friday once again and what does that mean? It's Fifty Linden Friday time! Back when I was little, Friday meant time for Crackerjack, but I've grown more sophisticated since then (though, some would say that was debatable).  Anyway, I couldn't resist buying the natural and the bright versions of this jersey skirt and top and as usual with Miel creations it comes with a colour change hud with 6 shades to choose from. To jazz it up a little I added and scarf and sunglasses, also from Miel. I think it helped pull the whole look together.  Enjoy your Friday shopping adventures!

Transition to Autumn at coldLogic

I've been busy in real life, Ayla's been ill - but recovering, thank goodness.  So our blogging has been a little sparse in the past week compared to our usual output.  Thank goodness for the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge which gives me a weekly focus to resume my blogging. I miss you!

I nipped on this morning to catch Fifty Linden Friday, I didn't want to miss two weeks in a row!  When I saw the message props from Flowey I knew I had to sneak in a blog because I DO MISS YOU ALL!

I took this picture awhile ago. It's been on my flickr photostream, but I hadn't blogged it for some reason I've forgotten.  This cropped tee from coldLogic IS unmellow yellow, even though I'm trying my best to relax.  These capris, also from coldLogic, are some of my faves in my inventory.  The sandals are from Maitreya and the hair is a year old group gift from Lelutka, still adorably cute.  Sunglasses are from Miel.

I went over to coldLogic and picked up this cute dress.  It may not be as bright as the swatch, but it's something I will definitely be wearing a lot over the summer months.  Why don't I have more yellow in my closet?  It's one of my favourite colours too!

52 Weeks of Colour - Thistle by Ayla

I searched the Marketplace for this weeks colour and came across this sweet summer dress from {bilo}, a store I was unfamiliar with.  It's a pretty blend of pastel tones and it makes you think, long walks on the beach, so that's where I decided to snap this picture.  Short and sweet, over and out.  Yes, I'm a bore today with not much else to say on the matter.

Blogger Challenge - New to Me

I saw an interesting blogger challenge on Flickr the other day from Evelyn Hartshorn (see here for details).  In a nutshell, she challenged bloggers to find a new to us store from the list of stores in the very helpful resource at Blogging Second Life.

I chose a store I hadn't heard of called Valentina E Couture and found this lovely ladylike mesh dress.  I added a few staples of my wardrobe, a Miel scarf and earrings, my handbag from Bitch and T-strap shoes from Shiny Things.

22796 at the Gallery Gift Shop

The boys from 22769 Casual Couture have brought their meshy goodness to The Gallery Gift Shop this month with this darling stripey dress.  It's available at the Gift Shop from now until the 15th of May, and for $100L it's way too much of a bargain to pass up!  I added a few accessories, like the Peepers glasses from Miel and the Crystal Cuffs from Dark Mouse (which I tinted black), just to add a little je ne sais quoi!  The rest you can find below.

Retro at My Attic

I nipped along to the My Attic event at the Deck this afternoon and picked up a few goodies.  The Audrey Dress from Maitreya is amazing, I felt so elegant and Audrey like when I wore it.  I also snagged this cute little corset dress from Cracked Mirror, I wore the same Exile - She loves you - hair, and changed the band to pink.  Maybe my dreams can come true and I can get a part in Grease the musical! (except from the fact I can't sing).
