52 Weeks of Color Challenge - Amazon

It's time to say goodbye to the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge with a thanks to Luna Jubilee, its creator.  I managed to stick to the challenge for the entire year without missing one, which was my first goal in the challenge.  The second goal was to improve my photography with a weekly task.  I think I did that, too.  When I look back, I have to smile at the difference between the first (Champagne) and last challenge posts.  Still liking the bubbly, though!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge - Madder Lake Deep

Lake sounds like a blue, doesn't it?  Not this color, though.  I love this deep reddish hue!  It didn't take me long to find my Madder Lake Deep - coldLogic's new party dresses offered the perfect shade.  I think this is my favorite color yet!

I can't believe there are only two more weeks to go in this year long challenge.  I'm going to need a new challenge when this one is over.

I love tangelo, it's such a lively color!  This Maitreya dress nails the color and makes me feel all stylishly casual - or is it casually stylish?  The pose - that's right, it's still pose week here - is from Apple Spice who offers naturalistic poses that manage to display real attitudes.

I'm not sure whether my Maitreya dress or my Focus Poses horse is closer to the color Barleycorn.  I'll accept either.  I don't keep track of the week numbers, but I think we're into the home stretch on Luna Jubilee's year long challenge, and I think I'll miss it.  Looking ahead only to next week, though, the color challenge is a very bright orange called Tangelo.  Wonderful!

I feel brilliant today. I managed to put together a juniper look with some of my favorite designers, Maitreya, coldLogic, and Purple Moon.  In addition I managed to smile for the camera without looking like a total doofus thanks to the new concept that was just released by Logo, a mesh head with many makeup, eye and expression customizations.  I can't wait to see more releases from this forward thinking designer!

You know what was bittersweet? It was Luna Jubilee managing to post her color challenge photo while in the midst of cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy.  The least I can do is donate to the Red Cross and encourage others to do the same.  East Coasters, I know you've had a rough time and it's not over yet.  You're in my thoughts.

I checked.  The color really is called charcoal this week.  My love affair with the store coldLogic will never end, I don't think.  This top and skirt work beautifully together.  Of course, my heart can easily be stolen by a new hair from Truth.  I am loving the new faded textures, especially the pumpkin pie ones. 

I've got a sniffly cold in RL, but in Second Life I can croon with the best thanks to this darling pose prop from Estetica.  Karaoke, anyone?

I've been busy in real life, Ayla's been ill - but recovering, thank goodness.  So our blogging has been a little sparse in the past week compared to our usual output.  Thank goodness for the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge which gives me a weekly focus to resume my blogging. In the color challenge I always cringe a bit when a purple hue comes up, but you know what? I'm starting to embrace that mix of red and blue.  I really liked this shade, at least with the pale skin I'm wearing today.  I'm not sure where this purple fear comes from!  I'm also loving having my own little castle in the sky thanks to Trompe DeLoeil.  Pick it up at this month's Collabor88, it's gorgeous.
