She's Back

Tuli is back on the grid and back in business.  I went to check out the new skins, and perversely said out loud in real life, "oh hell" when I fell in love with this one, Claire.  I just got a new skin I was perfectly happy with a week or so ago!  What can I do but buy the Tuli skin and take a picture?

Each skin comes with three different brow colors and a box full of matte and glossy lipstick tattoos.   Also included are a modifiable shape, a dimples version of the skin, cleavage options and a nail concealer.  There was a beautiful store opening $70 L special of a version of the just the skin, Helena, in dark brows.  I'm not usually a dark eyebrow sort of girl, but I love a bargain and snatched up that one, too.

On the Red Carpet

Ayla and I had fun planning this photo shoot together to celebrate glamorous Academy Awards dresses for the 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest recently announced here by Harper Ganesvoort.  We looked around for a location, but I ended up building a set from odds and ends in my inventory.  AprilMae Devin, our dear friends and sim mate, made the poses for us!  Shopping for and styling the outfits - well - that was sheer pleasure.

Ayla's been ill lately, but she's recovering, much to my relief - not to mention her own.  We're all glad you're feeling better Ayla.  You've been sorely missed!

The Classics

Great fashion looks backward as well as forward.  The new release from Maitreya took me all the way back to the classical era.  I'd been looking for an excuse to try out the Hopscotch pose and water urn prop from this month's Zodiac, anyway!

A Rare Sighting

A rare mermaid sighting on our home sim, that is.  To be completely honest, nearly naked Dolly, Ayla and April sightings are rather common.  I loved the little shell bra from PiDiddle for this month's Zodiac event, Aquarius.  Now I want a strategically placed shell to match below so I can get out of the water.

When We Dress for the Evening

A red velvet jacket gives the little black dress a kick doesn't it?  I paired my new Boom jacket with a coldLogic dress already in my wardrobe.  I love when I can mix and match mesh!  The trick in this case is to wear a small dress and a medium jacket.  Also, it's not a perfect fit for every AO movement, so if you're a perfectionist, don't put these two items together.  I decided my ladylike ensemble could use a hint of daring, so I added fishnet stockings which give even a good girl like me a whisper of edginess.

Sidewalk Cafe Loafing

This photo just kind of happened, thanks to my coffee obsession.  Usually I like to make sure to show off the clothes, and in this picture you can't even see them well (although, trust me, it's a cute outfit).  But I liked the feel of the picture, thanks to the table, chair and props from What Next.  And my sunglasses from Pure Poison look adorable.  Good enough!
